The 2nd American Revolution

REGISTERING YOUR GUNS

Many people will gladly tell you that you should register your firearms. They do this without thinking about the consequences of such a registery. The assume that their government is not truly looking to restrict the rights that the US Constitution and 2nd Ammendment have provided for them. Yet they hear many liberal politicians time and again say how they must ban a gun that "Looks Like" an assault rifle. But in reality is nothing more than a semi-automatic rifle which shoots one bullet with each pull of the trigger. Assault rifles are automatic rifles that shoot bullets as long as you hold down the trigger.

Right now Conneticut is a focus for such a registration effort that would infringe on the 2nd Ammendment rights of individuals.

REGISTER LARGE CAPACITY MAGAZINES: Anyone who lawfully possesses a magazine with more than 10 rounds as of April 3, 2013, must register them with the state by January 1, 2014. Orders of such magazines made before April 3, 2013, but delivered after that, still are legal but must be registered.

REGISTER BANNED ASSAULT WEAPONS: Anyone who legally owned a now-banned assault weapon by April 3, 2013, must apply for a certificate of possession by Jan. 1, 2014.

By providing this information the citizens of the state will be helping to create a database of gun owners that can then be approached at a later date in regards to their weapons. Much like Nazi Germany did in the 1930's, when they went to owners of weapons they thought could be used to oppose them and confiscated them.

Now before you say that will never happen here think again about what this registration process means. It means the legislature is asking the state and local police to go to everyone's home that is believed to own a high capacity magazine or a banned assault rifle, (Really only rifles that look like real assault rifles) and arrest the owners of those magazines or weapons.

The legislature though is finding the reality of this is far from what they expected. Many police officers are standing on their Oaths of Office where they swore to protect the US Constitution and are not willing to enforce what is so obviously a blatant incursion into citizens 2nd Ammendment rights.
